Adolfo Carvajal

Partner
Adolfo is a founding partner of Eland and oversees the financial side of the investments, as well as investor relations. Previously, he worked at Salomon Brothers (London) and was Managing Director at Citigroup. Previously, he worked at Drexel Burnham Lambert and at the Madrid Stock Exchange (35 years of experience). He has a degree in Law and in Economic and Business Sciences from ICADE and an MBA from INSEAD.

Miguel Domenech

Partner
Miguel is a founding partner of Eland and oversees the company’s growth strategy, operations and risk management of the alternative investment portfolio. He has more than 25 years of experience in the financial and alternative investment industry. Previously, he carried out his duties at Banco Santander as Director of the Territorial Unit of Risks and Recoveries. He has a Law Degree and a Diploma in Economics and Business Sciences from the CEU and a Master’s Degree in PDD from IESE.

Víctor Domenech

Partner
Víctor is a founding partner of Eland and is responsible for the company’s legal, tax and regulatory structure, as well as relations with the Public Administration. Previously, he has worked in the regulatory, commercial and tax department of venture capital and private equity at SJ Berwin Abogados, Rodes & Sala Abogados and Alter Legal. Graduate in Law from the UCM, BSc in Economics and Politics from the LSE and Master in Financial and Tax Law from the IE.

Victoria von Richetti

Legal Director
Victoria is responsible for the legal and tax matters of investments and their financing. He has more than 15 years of legal experience (previously a senior tax lawyer at Pérez-Llorca). At Eland, he has led M&A processes, issuance of bonds for more than €200M and sale of investment portfolios for more than €300M. She has a degree in Law and Business Administration and Management from the University of Navarra and a Master’s Degree in Financial and Tax Law from ESADE.

Alberto Peón

CFO
Alberto is responsible for the analysis of investment opportunities and relations with banks and investors. He has more than 15 years in Investment Banking (Morgan Stanley, Noqca Partners), 9 years in Renewable Energies (Gamesa, Jenner Renewables) and 2 years in Biotechnology as CFO of Genetrix. He has a double degree in Business from ICADE and Middlesex University and an MBA from The Wharton School.

Patricia Jiménez

Administration Director
Patricia has been responsible for Eland’s accounting, tax and financial reporting since 2008, leading its administrative team. He has more than 20 years of experience overseeing accounting reporting, compliance and auditing requirements at Eland. He is responsible for budgeting, financial forecasting and general coordination of Eland. She has a degree in Business Administration and Management (Complutense University of Madrid).

Eugenia Gosálvez

Assets & Operations Director
Eugenia has been Director of Asset Management at Eland since 2010. She is in charge of managing and coordinating an investment portfolio of more than 300 million euros. He is responsible for financial management, control and reporting as well as Family Office management and has more than 15 years of experience. She has a degree in Law and Business Administration and Management from the Antonio de Nebrija University and a Master’s Degree in Marketing and Business Management from ESIC.

MD. Armando Cuesta

Life Sciences Director
Armando brings more than 15 years of experience in the Life Sciences industry as the founder of Ilana Capital. Armando has been a practicing physician in different hospitals in the United States and Spain. His experience is key in finding and accessing funds and in supervising the due diligence of his managers. He oversees all of Korion’s activities. Armando has a postdoc (Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai) and a medical degree (Universidad Complutense de Madrid). He is a member of the New York Academy of Medicine.

Esther Trujillo

Accountant
Esther has more than 20 years of experience in accounting, taxation and business administration. Previously, he has been developing his professional activity in different agencies. He has developed his training in accounting and business administration. He currently carries out his professional activity in the accounting and administration department of Eland, managing more than fifty companies.

Mafalda Pastor

Back Office
Mafalda has more than 10 years of experience in administrative, financial and back office functions, providing support to all departments. Accounting, collection and payment management and support tasks for the legal and financial department, with a portfolio of 30 companies. Degree in Environmental Sciences from the Alfonso X El Sabio University.

Alex Wise

Analyst
Alex is responsible for the due diligence process with the funds, as well as maintaining relationships with their managers. He is a recipient of the US National Science Foundation Innovation Corps Grant and has more than five years of experience in data analysis and in biotechnology laboratories. He has a double degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and Mathematics from Tulane University (USA).
